Commerce Adviser Sk. Bashir Uddin has said that, we need to diversify our products, increasing supply as well as making new relationships with international buyers to sustain export growth in a rapidly changing global trade environment. He made the remark at the Bangladesh China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal on Monday while addressing the inauguration of the Global Sourcing Expo-2025 Dhaka.
The Global Sourcing Expo will open the door for idea sharing, meaningful discussions and long term business partnerships among experts, policymakers, investors, manufactures and innovators from home and abroad, he added. Bashir Uddin however came up and said again that, we have to move smoothly to diversify our products and export markets, improve competitiveness and by adopting strong trade policies.
Moreover, Global Sourcing Expo could be a milestone regarding the matter, he further mentioned.The exhibition duration will continue till December 3 and buyers, investors, and sourcing organizations from Afghanistan, China, Iran, Japan, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Sri lanka, UAE, Pakistan and the USA are participating in the exhibition.
The program was jointly organized by the Export Promotion Bureau ( EPB) and the Commerce Ministry and presided over by the Commerce Ministry's Secretary Mahbubur Rahman as well as welcome speech was delivered by the EPB Vice Chairman Mohammad Hasan Arif. Chief Adviser's Special Envoy on International Affairs Dr. Lutfe Siddiqui, Ministry concerned Additional Secretary Md. Abdur Rahim khan and BKME President Mohammad Hatem were also present as the special guest at the event.
