Dr. Tufael has been honored with the Medical Laboratory Impact Award– 2025 at the Asian Excellence Achievers Awards-2025 organized by South Asian Business Partnership. The Award ceremony was held on December 13, 2025 at Hotel G Ramayana, Kathmandu, Nepal. The prestigious award was jointly conferred by Nepal and Bangladesh South Asian Business Partnership.
The Asian Excellence Achievers Awards–2025 recognized 20 outstanding individuals from eight countries, honoring excellence across more than 16 professional categories. Dr. Tufael was recognized in the health category for his exceptional contributions to medical laboratory science and diagnostics, marking him as one of the leading achievers on this international platform.
A renowned expert in clinical biochemistry, Dr. Tufael has played a transformative role in advancing diagnostic accuracy and laboratory medicine in Bangladesh. His pioneering work in biomarker analysis, laboratory test standardization, and quality control systems has significantly strengthened diagnostic reliability, particularly in the detection and management of diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and metabolic disorders. Through the introduction of advanced diagnostic protocols and rigorous quality assurance practices at Ibn Sina Diagnostic and Imaging Center, he has helped establish new bio markers for laboratory excellence nationwide.
Dr. Tufael’s contributions have had a direct and lasting impact on patient care. By improving the precision and consistency of laboratory testing, his work has enabled earlier diagnosis, timely intervention, and improved treatment outcomes for thousands of patients across the country. His leadership continues to inspire innovation, professionalism, and uncompromising standards in Bangladesh’s healthcare sector.
The award evaluation process was conducted by a distinguished international committee comprising prominent policymakers, academicians, and public figures. The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Bablu Gupta, Minister of Youth and Sports, Government of Nepal. Notable guests included Kulman Ghising, Minister of Energy, Urban Development, Transportation and Water Resources; Ek Nath Dhakal, Senator and former Minister of Peace and Reconciliation; Ananda Prasad Pokharel, former Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation; Tara Lama Tamang, Member of the House of Representatives; Dr. Rinchen Chophel, CRC UN Vice President, Bhutan; and several other distinguished dignitaries. The event was chaired by Md. Golam Faruk Majnu, Executive Director of the Asian Business Partnership Summit, with Nipa Akter, Director of South Asian Business Partnership, serving as host.
