Suniel Shetty has revealed that he rejected a ?40 crore endorsement offer from a tobacco brand, saying he refused to compromise his values or set a negative example for his children, Ahan and Athiya.
In an interview with Peeping Moon, the veteran actor said he had long decided never to promote tobacco products, regardless of the financial incentive. He added that endorsing something he does not believe in was never an option, even though he could have used the money at the time.
Suniel also spoke about stepping away from acting while caring for his ailing father, Veerappa Shetty, who died in 2017. After a six to seven-year break, he returned to films, describing the comeback as challenging but transformative, helping him focus on fitness, self-growth and inner confidence.
