Garments Accessories & Packaging Exposition-2026 fair to begin at ICCB on 14 January
The 23rd Garment Technology Bangladesh (GTB)-2026, and the 15th edition of Garments Accessories & Packaging Exposition (GAPEXPO)-2026 is going to begin at International Convention City, Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital. Bangladesh Garments Accessories & Packaging Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) is organizing the expo in collaboration with ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd. In a press conference at a city hotel on Sunday, Bangladesh Garments Accessories & Packaging Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) President Md. Shahriar said that the 15th edition of GAPEXPO will be held from January 14 to 17 at ICCB’s Halls 02, 05, and 06, along with the Expo Zone.
At the same time, a concurrent event titled “Garment Technology Bangladesh 2026” will also take place. This year, the fair will be organised across a total of 10 halls, including four main halls and hangars.
About 350 companies will participate, with nearly 1,500 stalls. Participating countries include India, Japan, Vietnam, China, South Korea, Germany, and more than 18 countries in total. The expo aims to promote and expand all related sectors, including garments, accessories and packaging products, raw materials, used machinery, apparel, yarn, and fabrics.
The inauguration ceremony of the fair will be held on January 14 at 11:00 AM in ICCB Hall No. 02. The Chief Guest will be former Commerce Minister mir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury. The Guest of Honor will be Secretary of the Internal Resources Division and NBR Chairman Md. Abdur Rahman Khan. Special Guests will include FBCCI Administrator Md. Abdur Rahim Khan and BGMEA Acting President Salim Rahman. In addition, a Gala Night and Award Ceremony for BGAPMEA members will be held on January 15 at 7:00 PM. The Chief Guest will be former Adviser Hossain Jitu Rahman, while BCI President Anwar-ul-Alam Chowdhury and BKMEA President Mohammad Hatem will attend as Special Guests. On January 16 at 3:00 PM, a panel discussion titled “Prospects and Challenges of Paper Packaging Products” will be held, with participation from senior officials from both the public and private sectors, university vice-chancellors, and industry experts.
The closing ceremony and award presentation will take place on January 17 at 3:00 PM. Top-level government and private-sector representatives from the export sector, including Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association President Md. Mafazzal Hossain Pavel, will be present. BGAPMEA President Md. Shahriar also stated that, to ensure wide promotion of the fair, invitations have been extended to its 2,100 member companies, more than 4,000 BGMEA member factories, over 1,000 BKMEA members, representatives from print and electronic media, and relevant government offices. Get ready to witness the strength of Bangladesh's crucial backward linkage sector, as the expo showcases the power of the $1.6 Billion Export achieved by the Garment Accessories & Packaging sector.
