Human chain demands execution of killers of Zanjira's Dola Akhter

A human chain program was held in Shariatpur demanding speedy trial for the murder of Dola Akhter in Zanjira of Shariatpur and the maximum punishment for the murderers Shawkat Sheikh and Ruma Akhter.

The human chain was organized by SDO in front of the Shariatpur District Commissioner's office on Tuesday afternoon. 

People from different classes and professions, lawyers and local residents participated in it.

The participants in the human chain said that innocent Dola Akhter was brutally killed, which carries a terrible message for the society. Even though a long time has passed since the incident, the criminals are encouraged by the fact that exemplary punishment has not been given. They commented that justice will not be established in the society unless the trial is completed quickly and the culprits are hanged.

The speakers from the human chain urged the administration to quickly complete the judicial proceedings of the case and ensure the maximum punishment for Shawkat Sheikh and Ruma Akhter. Otherwise, they warned that a larger movement would be announced.

At this time, prominent lawyer Advocate Masudur Rahman Masud, President of the Supra Shariatpur District for Good Governance, Advocate Arif Majhi, Advocate Tariqul Islam, Advocate Rashed Khan and Executive Director of SDO Dr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman spoke at the human chain.
