Abdul Awal Mintu calls Jamaat leaders hypocrites

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Vice Chairman and Feni 3 constituency BNP nominated candidate Abdul Awal Mintu has said that Jamaat-E-Islami is a party of hypocrites. BNP will never allow Jamaat to come to power, Abdul Awal Mintu further said. He stated that as long as he is alive he will not allow Jamaat to rule Bangladesh. Abdul Awal Mintu warned that Jamaat leaders will turn Bangladesh into another Syria or Lebanon if the party is allowed to run Bangladesh.

Abdul Awal Mintu made the above comments while addressing an electoral rally at Shonagazi upazila in Feni on Tuesday (3 February 2026). Abdul Awal Mintu said that Jamaat does not want Bangladesh to become a prosperous country. He urged voters to abstain from casting their ballots for Jamaat. He commented that Jamaat leaders are liars and they believe in violent extremism. Abdul Awal Mintu called upon voters to cast their ballots for BNP symbol paddy sheaf. Bangladesh will move forward at a fast pace if BNP is elected in the 13th parliamentary elections under Tarique Rahman's leadership, Mintu told the audiences. He also appealed to female voters to elect BNP through the upcoming polls.

BNP Mohila Dal Joint General Secretary Shahena Akter Shanu, Feni district BNP Joint Convener Gazi Habib Ullah Manik, Shonagazi Upazila BNP Convener Joynal Abedin Bablu, Jamal Uddin Sentu, Member Secretary Syed Alam Bhuiyan, Upazila Jubo Dal Convener Khurshid Alam Bhuiyan and another few BNP leaders spoke on the occasion.
