 Red Cross donates  medical  equipment to Bangladesh

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has donated emergency medical equipment to help Bangladesh face the ongoing measles situation. 

The donation includes 14 oxygen concentrators, 570 airway management devices, 12 bag valve masks (BVM), resuscitators, and manual suction devices. 

These supplies will strengthen emergency preparedness and response capabilities, as well as assist healthcare institutions in managing respiratory complications and other emergency patients.

The handover ceremony was held at the Health Minister's office at the Secretariat on Sunday. 

Health Minister Sardar Sakhawat Hossain Bokul, Additional Secretary Khorshed Alam, representatives from DG Health, and an ICRC Bangladesh delegation led by its Health Program Manager Dr. Jalisa Khanam were present at the ceremony.

In addition, the International Committee of the Red Cross reiterated its commitment to continuing dialogue and cooperation with Bangladesh in the healthcare sector.
