Eid Ul-Azha, one of the most significant religious festivals of Muslims around the world, comes every year with the timeless message of sacrifice, peace, compassion, and harmony. Bangladesh suffered a lot during the immediate past interim government’s tenure with mob violence, lawless circumstances and anarchy. Even Bangladesh had to undergo a huge scale of corruption and socioeconomic injustice during the ousted regime too. We are now looking forward to a new genesis and we don’t want those vicious things to happen again.
The festival commemorates the supreme sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), who demonstrated complete faith and obedience to Allah by preparing to sacrifice his beloved son, Prophet Ismail (AS), according to divine command. In recognition of his devotion, Allah replaced Ismail (AS) with an animal to be sacrificed. This historic event symbolizes the victory of faith, patience, and sincerity over selfish desires and worldly attachments.
