IGP reiterates pledge to ensure people's safety

Ali Hossain Fakir, Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Bangladesh, said that the police force is continuing its efforts to improve law and order across the country. "We have organized a community policing gathering in Bogura, and we will spread this initiative throughout the country. Through this, the police and the public will work together to build a safe Bangladesh - this is our commitment," he said.

He made these remarks as the chief guest at a community policing, beat policing, and civic gathering held on Saturday (23 May 2026) afternoon after inaugurating the newly constructed building of Adamdighi Police Station in Bogura.

The civic gathering was chaired by Mirza Sayem Mahmud, Superintendent of Police of Bogura District. The main discussant at the event was Abdul Muhit Talukder, Member of Parliament for Bogura-3 constituency.

Special guests who addressed the program included Mohammad Shahjahan, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Rajshahi Range, and Razia Sultana, Deputy Director of Local Government in Bogura, among others.

Earlier, the IGP inaugurated the newly constructed building of Adamdighi Police Station.
