Outgoing Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on 24 May 2026. The Prime Minister thanked Pranay Verma for his contributions to bilateral relations and conveyed best wishes for his next assignment.
The Indian High Commissioner reaffirmed India's willingness to deepen multifaceted engagement with Bangladesh for both countries' mutual benefit and shared prosperity of the peoples of India and Bangladesh.
Tarique Rahman and Pranay Verma also briefly discussed various potential areas of cooperation driven by the development priorities of the two countries.
