Complementary Military Training is an important program for the Intermediate and University Students. So, we can prepare the students to be more intellectual, more disciplined physically and mentally and more professionally. Complementary Military Training can also strengthen the youth by leadership, teamwork, communication and decision-making abilities. It also makes them more obedient and more patriotic for their country.
Bangladesh Education System is totally outdated and students after graduation can’t do a single practical or skillful work. They just read those books and didn’t apply in practical work. Today in the modern world, they can’t compete with other countries because of lack of knowledge and communication. Bangladesh Education System is making in the traditional way of mass production of educated people but not skillful people. We need to change the education system. If we can’t change it, then we have to face many problems in future. So, we need to add a Complementary Military Training program.
Complementary Military Training is now running in many developing and developed countries for example Brazil, Russia, Switzerland, Qatar, Norway, South Korea and many other countries. They are now developed in law and order, economic and safety to the population. Those countries got their positive feedback.
Complementary Military Training gives the modern security environment in our country. It can enhance critical thinking, adaptability, ethical judgement and problem-solving skills. These can give our youth a new path of life. When the country is in a state of war, youth can protect their families, friends and society inside and outside also. It also gives additional support for the law enforcement agencies.
Another important aspect of Complementary Military Training is character and value of education. Military organizations place great emphasis on integrity, loyalty, patriotism, courage, respect and selfless service. It also developed these values through ethical discussion, military traditions and professional conduct. As a result, personnel develop a strong sense of responsibilities, accountabilities and commitment to the country and professionalism.
We have noted that students don’t want to communicate with their classmates. It also didn’t include in school and college syllabus. The Complementary Military Training program encourages teamwork with individuals from different backgrounds and specialties. Students can learn effective communication, conflict resolution and coordination skills that are essential to day-to-day life.
In addition, Complementary Military Training promotes lifelong learning. Military technology, tactics, and global security challenges continue to evolve. It also encourages continuous professional development through advanced courses, research, seminars, and self-study. This commitment to lifelong learning ensures that military personnel remain competent and prepared for future responsibilities.
In conclusion, Complementary Military Training is an essential part of developmental education because it develops the knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes required for professional military service. It complements technical and tactical training by producing disciplined, ethical, resilient, and adaptable leaders who can respond effectively to both conventional and non-conventional challenges. By investing in Complementary Military Training, armed forces strengthen not only the capabilities of individual soldiers but also the effectiveness and professionalism of the entire military organization. The Bangladesh government should consider this thing very seriously or our youths will be gone in the dark.
