Minister for Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Nurul Islam BSc claimed setting up of 29 educational institutes including colleges and schools in the port city Chittagong by his own effort and personal initiatives. Now, the country is progressing and I have started two new educational institutes here in Chittagong to participate in the process of realizing the Digital Bangladesh.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of two new educational institutions named Chittagong Kindergarten and Hajera Taju School and College at Chandgaon in the port city as chief guest Nurul Islam BSc said, "After taking the charge of the ministry I have successfully sent Bangladeshi people abroad for their job. He also informed the gathering that an Institute of Marine Technology to be set up at Bakolia in the port city considering the job markets in marine sector. "If we can start the institute the graduates from the institute would be able to compete in the world job market." He mentioned many facilities for expatriates set up in Chittagong and Sylhet.
He also mentioned that the government will enact a new law on the expatriates of Bangladesh for the welfare of their families who live in Bangladesh. He said, "We have planned to set up a modern hospital for the treatment of expatriates and their families." The function was chaired by the chairman of the managing committee of the Chittagong Kindergarten and Hajera Taju school and College Mohammad Mujibur Rahman. Vice-chancellor of Chittagong University of Science and Technology (CUET) Prof Dr Rafiqul Islam, Vice Chancellor of International Islami University of Chittagong Prof Dr Mir Ejharul Hossain, Editor of the Daily Bir Chattagram Monch Sayed Omar Frauk, Chairman of Sanwara Grioup of Companies Mrs Sanwara Begum, Principal of Hajera Taju Degree College Dabir Uddin Khan, Principal of Dilwara Jahan Memorial School and College Maruful Islam addressed the function as special guests. Among others, Awami League leader Jamshedul Islam Chowdhury, Haji Monaf Swadagor and Jafor Ahamod also addressed the function.
