Seven artists' group show ends today

A five day group art exhibition titled Chameleon is coming to an end today at the Drik Gallery in Dhanmondi. The exhibition, inaugurated on March 17, featured seven artists' diverse art works in different mediums like painting, tapestry, photography, digital print, 3D print and others. A total of 85 art works were on display in this exhibition.

The exhibit highlighted paintings by Arif Ahmed and Mohammad Golam Faruk, paintings on wood boards by Momtaz Shahid, digital prints by Samaun Hasan, tapestry art by Sonali Islam, photographs by Sufia Islam and graphic design art works by Mizanur Rahman.

Artist Arif Ahmed is mainly an animation artist. He has introduced a total new concept into his art. He calls it as science inspired paintings where he mainly focuses on the beauty of galaxy. Nebula, Black Holes, Worm Holes, Moon, and Sun became alive in his art works displayed at the exhibition.
Unmad itself is an iconic word that represents the greatest cartoonists in the Bangladesh. With cartoon works by some of the popular cartoonist, there was a corner in the exhibition where different issues of socio-economic Bangladesh were focused. The exhibition will be open until 8pm today.
