CUET wins 'National Girls Programming contest

CUET Diamond and Rust' team of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology wins the championship in 'National Girls Programming Contest-2017.  The event held at Daffodil International University (DIU) recently. The champion team was formed with Jannatul Ferdous, Sumaia Binte Hedayet and Sumaia Rabiyat.

Total 102 teams from different universities, colleges and schools throughout Bangladesh took part in this contest. The result was announced in the afternoon and later, the prize distribution ceremony got held. ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak was also present in the event.

Palsk said-Our girls are meritorious enough. They only need an opportunity. That's why we have been organizing this contest since 2015. Besides, a Super Computer is also likely to be set up very soon in Bangladesh, as the State Minister confirmed.

Chancellor of DIU Yusuf M Islam, Head of Computer Science and Engineering Department Syed Akhter Hossain, Professor Dr. Mohammad Kaykobad of BUET, Deputy Secretary of ICT Division Mahbuba Panna and Geneticist Abed Chowdhury delivered their precious speeches in the program.

The champion team gave solutions to six among the seven programming exercises. The teams 'NSU La La Land' of North South University and 'Girls and Pearls' of Jahangirnagar University respectively won the second and third position.
