How has breakfast been in your home since school started? Has your household fully adjusted from its relatively relaxed summer pace to the early morning rush? 

Surely, preparing your family’s first meal for the day and having enough time to eat at home during these sleepy hours can be a struggle.Well, have you tried preparing a bowl of cereal for your breakfast? It takes two minutes to prepare, and two minutes to eat.  After choosing your cereal of choice, all anyone has to do is pour some milk and add chopped fruits and nuts to ensure the vital nutritional contents of the serving. 

Wake up early in the morning and have something healthy, with a bowl of Koko Krunch, Honey Stars, Honey Gold, Corn Flakes, Cookie Crisp, Milo, or Nestlé Fitnesse cereals. Again, why all the hubbub about breakfast? Here’s why.

1. It gives you an energy bump. Eating cereal in the morning fills the body and brain with energy to start the day right.” Children who have whole grain in their diet are more likely to meet the Estimated Average Requirement (EAR) for iron, thiamin, riboflavin, and calcium than kids who do not.

2. It reduces the chances of obesity. The World Health Organization recommends whole grain intake as it reduces the chances of obesity and the risk of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. The company adds that cereal consumption for breakfast can promote healthier body weight, help prevent constipation, and improve bowel function.

3. It improves your moods. A bowl of cereal makes kids (and even adults) cheerful. If all kids do this, perhaps that bus ride to school wouldn’t be full of cranky schoolmates! An Indonesian study reveals that students who did not eat a complete breakfast performed less in school. A full nutritional meal certainly helps anyone be more alert and attentive. Adding color to your breakfast with the fruits you mix in cereals. This way, you give it extra vitamins and minerals as well.

4. It gives you a welcome shot of vitamins and minerals. The right kind of breakfast will keep you covered nutritionally. Since cereal is served with milk, every serving of it means higher calcium intake. Cereals are also sources of Vitamin D, magnesium, zinc, and B vitamins. The company says majority of its breakfast cereals have five vitamins and two minerals (typically iron and calcium).
