Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed downward trend in early hours of trading on Monday, the second session of the week.
DSEX, the benchmark index of DSE, shed over 4.47 points or 0.07 percent to stand at 5,840.24 at 11:57 pm.
But the two other indices edged higher in the early trading.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) went up by 0.19 points or 0.01 percent to stand at 1,327.60 points.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips also advanced 1.73 points or 0.08 percent to stand at 2,135.10 points.
Trade deals stood at 59,780 with transaction at over Tk 4,464.28 million on the DSE.
Of the issues traded till then, 102 advanced, 152 declined and 52 issues remained unchanged.
Confidence Cement Ltd dominated the turnover chart with shares worth Tk 353.39 million changing hands till then followed by IFAD Autos, Simtex Industries, Bangladesh Building Systems, and MJL Bangladesh.
The port city bourse also saw negative trend till then with its Selective Category Index - CSCX-losing 12.54 points to stand at 10,940.10 points, also at 11:57 am.
Of the issues traded till then, 66 gained, 105 declined and 35 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 261.05 million.
