If you have been missing those tempting baked dishes just because they had egg in them, then this piece of information will make you smile. Try these easily available egg substitutes that carry equivalent nutritional values and add similar texture to the dish.

Pumpkin: A wonderful seasonal egg replacer is pumpkin. Same principles as above-If you don't know, pumpkin can bind and moisten and any dish. You can use 1/3 cup of cooked mashed pumpkin to replace an egg in any of your eggitarian dishes.

Potato: Known as king of vegetables, potato is another great substitute for egg. In any of your savory dish you can replace egg with mashed potato for the same texture. ¼ cup of mashed potato is equal to 1 egg.  Olive oil: While making cake recipes, just replace the egg yolk with ¼ cup of extra virgin olive oil and your vegetarian guests will be happy to relish it all.

Flax seeds: 1 tbsp of flax seeds is equivalent to 1 egg yolk that you can use for any of the baked dishes. Apart from providing similar nutritional value, it also gives the dish a little crunchy texture.  Cornstarch: Make sure to buy a non-GMO cornstarch and you will be amazed to know that it is a great binding agent. If you mix 4 tbsp cornstarch with 4 tbsp water, this can easily replace 2 eggs for any of your baking recipes.

Chia seeds: In place of 1 egg you can use 1 tbsp chia seeds soaked in water in any of your dish to generate same amount of protein.  Banana: Mashed bananas can bind and moisten in any dish that you are baking. That's the reason food experts suggest that you can use ¼ cup of mashed banana in place of an egg.
