Anti-British movement leader Jasim Uddin Mondal passed away at a city hospital yesterday due to old age complications. The veteran communist leader breathed his last at 6:00 am at Health and Hope Hospital at Panthapath in Dhaka. The 95-year-old leader was admitted to the hospital on September 28.
"The body will be taken to the party office and later to the central Shaheed Minar on Tuesday. His first namaj-e-janaja will be held at Dhaka University central mosque after Johr prayer," CPB central leader Ruhin Hossen Prince said adding, "He will be buried at Ishurdi in Pabna on Wednesday."
