Child Rights Week's programs begin Balloons and white pigeons are being released during the inauguration of Child Rights Week-2017 in Dhaka yesterday. State Minister Meher Afroze Chumki inaugurated it on Jagannath Hall premises of Dhaka University. -AA

Child Rights Week-2017 began yesterday with elaborate programs in Dhaka with a view to ensuring the security and rights of all children. Bangladesh Shishu Academy organized the programs in the city and at all 64 district offices and its six upazilas offices. The week's programs began yesterday and will conclude on October 17.

State Minister Meher Afroze Chumki inaugurated the function yesterday on the premises of Jagannath Hall of Dhaka University. Chairman of Bangladesh Shishu Academy Selina Hossain, project director of the street children rehabilitation project, officials and representatives of different government and non-government organizations, among others, addressed the function with Nasima Begum in the chair.
