Following the incredible opening weekend at the box office for 'Dhaka Attack', director Dipankar Dipon has come up with a new announcement to cater to the local audience. The director has decided to make a sequel of this blockbuster film.

After its nationwide release in 122 theatres last Friday, Dhaka Attack has charmed movie-goers with its unique storytelling style, and an action packed journey to the gritty world of police vs terrorists. The film reportedly earned a staggering Tk 7.5 crore in just two days and continues to smash records every day.

Confirming the news of the sequel, Dipankar Dipon said the project could be titled Dhaka Attack Extreme or Dhaka Attack Two. He is eager to begin working on the sequel as soon as possible, and is aiming for a 2019 release.

"There will be no or a little change in the cast. But this time it'll be extreme," Dipon said. While talking about this successful film, director Diponkor Dipon said, "We've been getting positive news from all the theaters.

'Dhaka Attack' proves that audience will go to the halls to watch a well-made film. I've heard that all the shows are still houseful at Shyamoli Cinema, on the other hand Star Cineplex has increased shows to four."

Dipon clarified the news of the film bagging 7 crores in two days, saying, " As there is no way of learning the exact box office numbers in our country, I cannot confirm this information. However, our earning was very close to 7 crores on the second day, if not exactly that amount. I'm not trying to exaggerate the numbers to manipulate our audience, you can ask our producers."

Dipon informed that the team of this team has an elaborate 3-month plan. "We'll release this film worldwide, to let the information go global that our police force is fiercely strong."

Dhaka Attack, which is said to be the first cop-action thriller of Dhallywood, features a total of 238 characters. With Arifin Shuvo and Mahiya Mahi in the leading roles, the film boasts a heavyweight cast that includes Syed Hasan Imam, Alamgir, Afzal Hossain, Laila Hasan, ABM Suman, Shatabdi Wadud and Nawshaba, among others.
