Beloved Bangladesh reigns in paintings

Alliance Française de Dhaka has organized a 12 days solo painting exhibition featuring the beauty of Bangladesh in its Galerie Zoom. The exhibition, titled My Beloved Motherland by artist Md. Abu  Salim will inaugurate today at 6.00 pm.  Prof.  Dr Mizanur Rahman, Department of Law, University of Dhaka and writer Selina Hossain will attend the inaugural ceremony.

From the unparalleled colors of six seasons to the innumerable water bodies beaming with azure  blue, Bangladesh - our beloved homeland reigns the artist's paintings.

They also bear witness to the hardships of our people, the calamities they endure and the tribulations they vanquish to make their ends meet.

Farmers, fishermen, boatmen and people from various walks of life become ineluctable characters in Abu Salim's mind and he has tried to capture perhaps a moment from their daily lives.

'My Beloved Motherland' is artist Md. Abu Salim's twelfth solo exhibition. The exhibition will feature Salim's twenty recent works.

The exhibition will be open to all until October 31, 2017 at Galerie Zoom, Alliance Française de Dhaka. Visiting Hours:  Monday to Thursday from 3:00pm to 9:00pm, Friday and Saturday (9:00am to12:00pm and 5:00pm to 8:00pm). Closed - Sunday.
