Dactyloctenium aegyptium

One finds Marka all over Bangladesh. It would be seen by the side of grass on abandoned land, unused portion of gardens, besides wall and railway tracks and in the available open places of a forest. in fact it is a kind of grass. It grows throughout the year.

Marka flowers blossom at the top of its stalk that looks like a slender stick. The flowers last a long time. Its tiny flowers look like X or the Blade of a fan, the plant grows from seeds.
