Two BCL men injured in infighting at CU -The Asian Age

Two students were injured in a clash between two factions of Bangladesh Chhatra League(BCL) at Chittagong University  on Sunday. The injured are Shfiqul Alam Miraj, a student of Human Resources Manag-ement department and Liton Ray, a student of Statistics department.

Sources said the clash ensued when some followers from CFC group( followers of late AL leader Mohiuddin Chy) swooped on their rival group(followers of AL leader and Mayor AJM Nasiruddin ) activist Rifat at around 11 am in front of Shahjalal Hall as a sequel to a clash that took place on Saturday night night.

On information, police rushed in and brought the situation under control, Assistant Proctor of the university Liton  Mitra. Police also arrested  CFC group activist Shakil along with a firearm.
