Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Mohammad Javed Patwary has called upon the new police officials to perform their duties rising above greed, lust and nepotism.
He made the call while addressing the concluding ceremony of 5-day-long orientation course of the newly-appointed assistant police supers (ASP) in 36th BCS (Police) cadre as the chief guest at the Police Headquarters conference room in the city yesterday.
The police boss said, "Combating crimes and unearthing mysteries behind offences are among main the tasks of the police. They should perform their duties with professionalism."
"Bangabandhu liberated the country with a view to building a 'Sonar Bangla'. His worthy daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly to take the country forward," the IGP said.
He said, Bangladesh has been connected with the highway of development under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister. The country will become a developed one with our concerted efforts.
Additional IGP (Administration and Operations) Mukhlesur Rahman, Additional IGP (F&D) Mainur Rahman Chowdhury and Additional IGP (HRM) Mohsin Hossain were also present at the function among others.Some 118 police officers have joined in 36th BCS (Police) batch, among them 101 are males and 17 females.
