Forget intra-party feud: Quader -The Asian Age

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has asked party men to stay united ahead of the national polls at the end of this year, forgetting party's internal feuds.

Quader said this while holding street campaign at Eliotganj area in Daudkandi's Chandina Bazar of Comilla when he was on his way to Chattogram and Cox's Bazar.

He said Awami League will prioritize those party activists who sacrifice for the party in this year's nominations and urged them not to form pocket committees. "Assess which activists stick by you in difficult times, do not corner them. The opportunists will disappear once the wind changes," he said.

The minister also instructed party leaders and activists to be prepared for violent efforts to halt the election, as in 2014. He said, "BNP leaders have announced tougher protest, but I will ask how they will arrange it within a month as the party has been unable hold any protest for even 10 minutes in the past decade."
