Elect none from anti-liberation axis -The Asian Age


We don't want to witness any anti-liberation force or their collaborators in state power, said offspring of the martyred intellectuals urging people to vote them who believe in the spirit of the Liberation War or belong to that ally.

They told the media from a human chain at Rayer Bazar killing ground after paying homage to the worthy sons of the soil. The offspring of the martyred intellectuals recalled the memories and scarifies of their forerunners. Many of them became emotional remembering their parents. 

Martyred journalist Sirajuddin Hossain's son Touhid Reza Noor said: "Not as a member of martyred intellectual's family, as a citizen I would say the country has achieved the freedom through supreme sacrifices. The pro-liberation power must assume in the state power. Our expectation from the youths is they will take the right decision voting against the war criminals and their ally."   
 
Shahid Munier Chowdhury's son, Asif Munier, meantime, emphasized teaching the new generation the appropriate history of the country. He observed that there is a lack of written materials in this regard.     Asif Munier categorically told the media that they would not compromise their stance regarding those who opposed the independence of the country. 

Meantime, Shaheed Nijam Uddin Ahmed's son Safkar Nijam said the anti-liberation elements are still hatching plots even after 47 years of the liberation. "They are misguiding the new generation through propaganda as they did in 1971," he noted adding the evil force would be tacked through representing the accurate history to the new generation.      

Dr Nuzhat Chowdhury, daughter of martyred intellectual Dr Alim Chowdhury, addressed the gathering. She urged the people to reject the descendants of war criminals in upcoming election. "Our target is to build the nation with the spirit of the Liberation War. The evil politics of the war collaborators needs to be uprooted," she stated.
