Rohingya woman 'trafficker' detained, 2 kids rescued -The Asian Age


A Rohingya woman was caught by locals after she reportedly kidnapped two children at Benapole Bazar on Friday noon. Police named the detainee as Phool Banu, 50, wife of Rahim, a resident of Myanmar's Rakhine State.

The abducted children were Munsur, 4, son of Alek Hossain, and Kumar Das, 5, son of Pradip Das, of Benapole Fish Market area. Locals said the women gave the children some sweets and kidnapped them when they were playing in the market area.

Noticing that the children are missing, they caught the woman and contacted police.The Rohingya woman was detained and the children were rescued, said Sub-Inspector Abdul Latif of Benapole Port Police Station. A case has been filed in this connection.It is, however, unclear, how the Rohingya woman came to Benapole.
