The word 4th industrial revolution has become very familiar now to us. Many traditional jobs will be carried out by robots and machines as a result of this revolution. So, in easy words, many traditional jobs will be lost, but many new jobs will be created too.
The burning question that comes to our mind is, "Will traditional education be able to satisfy the requirements of the jobs in the era of 4th industrial revolution?" Unfortunately, the answer is a big NO. The graduate unemployment rate in Bangladesh is 47% (Source: ProthomAlo). This survey carried out by BBS also shows that, the more educated you are, the more is your chance of remaining unemployed.
The answer to the problem is professional education, which will turn a student into specialist in a particular field with both examination and practical experience. So, after completion of education, that student will be more employable compared to others. The big difference between professional and traditional education is that there is scope of gaining practical work experience while studying a professional qualification which is not available in traditional education.
