Jatiya Oikya Front, which was formed in the November last year, is going to be reorganized within a short possible time bringing changes to the leadership, sources in the Gono Forum said.
A deadlock of the Jatiya Oikya Front has developed due to a leadership crisis in the Gono Forum, especially contradictions between Gono Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain and former General Secretary Mustafa Mohsin Montu, sources in the Gono Forum said.
The BNP led 20-party alliance, Krashok Srimik Janata League of Abdul Kader Siddiqui, J S D President A S M Abdur Rab and Nagarik Oikya Convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna while talking to The Asian Age said that they have been planning to lead the Jatiya Oikyo Front to the next parliamentary polls removing all sorts of limitations in the Front.
Sources in the Gono Forum said that change in the leadership of the Jatiya Oikya Front is a must for giving it new and dynamic blood.
Talking about the leadership of Dr Kamal Hossain, a senior functionary of Gono Front said the main leader has become elderly and has no dynamic character.
He has dispute with Mostafa Mohsin Montu, who is the real leader of the Gono Forum. The recent change in the leadership of Gono Forum has created alarming differences between the two leaders in the Jatiya Oikya Front.
The differences between Dr Kamal Hossain and Mustafa Mohsin Montu have brought the leadership of the Front to a standstill they said adding that Abdul Kader Siddiqui and Mahmudur Rahman Manna had tried in vain to minimize the gap. Seeing no alternative to the change of leadership, Abdul Kader Siddiqui preferred quitting the Front.
A S M Abdur Rab, however, expressed his hope that the Front will move ahead soon overcoming some of the limitations within next couple of days.
The BNP led-led 20 party alliance has been keeping mum over the hibernation for mysterious reasons. However, the Secretary General of BNP Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has been trying to make the Jatiya Oikya Front a dynamic and viable organization to cope with the present crisis also with the ruling party.
The leaders of other alliances and parties within the Jatiya Oikya Front have been trying to resolve the internal problems soon.
Sources in the Front, however, said that the leadership of Dr Kamal Hossain has been questioned by most other leaders. "Dr Kamal Hossain may be removed from the present post of Jatiya Oikya Front" a front leader said adding that his leadership was questioned even his party.
A new committee of the Jatiya Oikyo Front may be formed soon giving importance to the leadership of BNP, specially Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, another JOF leader who left for London last night told The Asian Age.
