Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA) is the national flag carrier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Since the start of this year, seven aircraft have been retrofitted to include new seats seatback television screens; and WiFi connectivity. The new aircraft are operating on key European routes: Rome, Milan, Munich, Frankfurt, Geneva, and Vienna.
SAUDIA is the first and only airline in the world to provide a free social messaging plan that includes five of the most popular and widely used applications. SAUDIA is currently in the midst of the Hajj season whereby an increase of nearly 10% more guests is projected, over last year's figures.
The Hajj guest traffic is being carried on both regular scheduled commercial flights, as well as dedicated charter flights. There are 15 leased widebody aircraft which are dedicated specifically for religious pilgrimage.
