This inspiration to organize this unique exhibition on Growth Mindset & Brainology came from the spontaneous participation of grade 2 & 3 students of Government Primary Schools. Now they know how to rewire brain to set necessary new BELIFE to take ACTION to GROW and to ACHIEVE more.
Growth mindset refers to a learning theory developed by Dr. Carol Dweck, Professor of Psychology at Stanford University. It revolves around the belief that anyone can improve intelligence, ability and performance. The opposite, a fixed mindset, refers to the belief that a person's talents are set in stone. Years of research have shown that mindset is malleable. This means that by helping students to develop a growth mind- set, we can help them to learn more effectively and efficiently.
Growth Mindset > Belief > Action > GrowTo educate & motivate students, teachers and parents about GROWTH MINDSET we have organized workshops in different school campuses especially government primary schools (grade 2 - 3) as a vital part of a capstone project of Teach for Bangladesh. At the end of the workshop students are given a space to reflect their learning & understanding achieved about by drawing & labeling their artworks.
Those art works and creative writings have got a space to shout out. We are exhibiting those most indigenous and creative thoughts from the limitless brain of young kids at EMK Center during 24-25 September to spread the awareness of cultivating intelligence to transform a learner to an active learner and to transform an active learner to an active doer to grow to achieve beyond the dream. Participants and visitors will be able to articulate & understand that:
- Intelligence can be developed by anybody at anyage
- The brain is malleable. It means brain can be re-shaped by doing hardwork.
- Doing challenging work is the best way to make the brain stronger andsmarter
- Every child is bornpowerful
