Bangladesh Society for the Enforcement of Human Rights-BSEHR organized a Police Prosecutors Workshop titled "The way to prevent obstruction in the prevention of human trafficking" at District Judge Auditorium, Dhaka yesterday.
Under chairmanship of Justice Tarik Haider, former District and Sessions Judge, Advocate Jahanara Begum, Secretary General, BSEHR Advocate Mozahidul Islam, PM, Winrock International, Jayasri Samaddar, District Judge, Md Helal Chowdhury, District and Sessions Judge, Judge Court, Dhaka, Advocate Mahmuda, PP, Dhaka Judge Court, Advocate Salma Hai Tuni, Ali Asgar Shawpon, PP Md Alamgir Hossain, were present in the workshop.
Speaking as the Chief Guest Md Helal Chowdhury, District and Sessions Judge, Judge Court, Dhaka said, 'We have to take unified measures to eradicate human trafficking from society. We need at the same time to emphasis on the publicity of Human Trafficking Prevention and Suppression Act 2012 and in this regard NGOs can play a vital role'.
Mojammel Haque project coordinator of BSEHR mentioned the objectives of the workshop was to analyze the causes of procrastination in solving trafficking cases and the gaps between cases, investigation and dilatory judicial system etc so that we could prevent and eliminate trafficking cases.
