Language Movement veteran Rawshan Ara passes away -The Asian Age

Language Movement hero Rawshan Ara Bachchu passed away at a city hospital on Tuesday due to old-age complications. She was 87.

She breathed her last at the Apollo Hospitals Dhaka around 1130am, said its duty manager. Meanwhile, President Abdul Hamid expressed deep shock at the demise of the Language Movement hero. In a condolence message, he said the nation will always remember her contributions to the Language Movement with deep respect.

The President prayed for salvation of the departed soul and expressed his sympathy to the bereaved family members.On the other hand, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed profound shock and sorrow at the demise of the language movement veteran Rawshan Ara Bachchu.

In a message of condolence, the premier recalled Rawshan Ara's contribution to the language movement.The prime minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family, reports BSS.
