Bangladeshi electronic giant Walton has aimed to export 100 million USD worth of 'Made in Bangladesh' labelled products to the world market in the current fiscal year of 2021-22. This move will increase the export volume of Walton as its products are gaining remarkable response from global buyers of different countries including Europe.
This was revealed at the closing day of a two-day long 'Walton International Business Summit-2021' held at the Grand Sultan Tea Resort and Golf at Sreemangal on Monday. Golam Murshed, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited, announced the export target. At the summit, Golam Murshed congratulated the Walton's IBU team on its great success in expanding export market to developed countries especially in Europe. Expressing his firm expectation that the export volume of Walton products will reach billions of dollars by the next two to three years, he also said Walton products currently have a combined market of about 1 billion USD in both local and international arenas that needs to be raised to 10 billion USD over the next 9 years. Speakers in the summit say that, with the aim of becoming the best global electronics brand, Walton is moving forward in the world market in achieving its 'Vision- Go Global 2030'. In a bid to achieve this goal, the Walton IBU branch has organized this summit as part of the implementation of the roadmaps in this regard. Setting targets of exporting products worth $100 million by 2022 and initiating other future course of plans for export expansion were mainly focused in the summit.
