In Suman Ghosh's 2015 film 'Kadambari', Parambrata Chattopadhyay's new look as young Rabindranath Thakur had surprised everyone. Now, after six years he will once again be seen as Rabindranath in Sayantan Ghosal's next film 'Aaji Hote Shotobarsho Pore'. The actor will play the literary icon in different timeframes. Sounds interesting right?
"The story of this film revolves around a murder mystery. Interestingly the case is linked to Rabindranath, more specifically to a chapter in his life when he was in London. Somehow, that time frame has a connection to this mystery. The story will move on in two time frames," reveals Sayantan who had worked with Parambrata in 'Sagardwiper Jawker Dhan'.
Apart from Parambrata, the thriller will also star Gaurav Chakrabarty and Tnusree Chakraborty in the lead. While Gaurav plays a key role in the story, Tnusree will be seen as a journalist. Riddhi Sen and Kaushik Sen are also part of the cast which is yet to be completed.
"If all goes according to plan, the shoot will start before Durga Puja and it will be shot in Kolkata and London," said the director adding that they are planning to release the film in theatres next year.
Incidentally, Sayantan's next film 'Swastik Sanket' has also been shot in London amid the pandemic. The Nusrat Jahan-Gaurav Chakrabarty starrer thriller is also awaiting its release. 'Aaji Hote Shotobarsho Pore' will only be released after 'Swastik Sanket' gets its much-awaited theatrical release.
