IBCCI holds 85th board meeting -The Asian Age


The India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI) held its 85th board meeting in the city on Saturday. The IBCCI leaders exchanged views about further boosting trade between India and Bangladesh. They also talked about different ways of economic recovery on both sides keeping in view the adverse financial impact caused by Covid 19.

The meeting was presided over by IBCCI President Abdul Matlub Ahmad. The meeting was held both physically and virtually. Those who were present in the meeting physically are IBCCI President Abdul Matlub Ahmad, IBCCI Vice President Shoeb Chowdhury, IBCCI directors Mohammad Ali, Farkhunda Jabeen Khan, Liakat Ali Bhuiyan, Alhajj Mohammad Ali and Moshiur Rahman. The board members who participated in the meeting virtually are Abhishek Das, Prakash Chand Saboo, Ashish Goupal and Madhu P Singh.

Abdul Matlub Ahmad said that IBCCI is working to keep land ports active to sustain business functionalities between India and Bangladesh. IBCCI is receiving support from both India and Bangladesh, he added. Abdul Matlub Ahmad thanked the IBCCI board of directors for the publication of Luminous IBCCI.Shoeb Chowdhury expressed gratefulness to India for supplying oxygen to Bangladesh despite lockdown. He thanked India for being cooperative to Bangladesh during the tough time brought about by the prevalence of Covid 19.
