Bhanga upazila health division holds press conference -The Asian Age

A press conference was held at upazila hall room in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur district over allegations of irregularities in distributing maternity allowance. Bhanga upazila health division organized the press conference where Upazila Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr Mohsin Fakir read out the written statement. In the written statement, Dr Mohsin Fakir said, "Recently, a person named Shahidul Islam made a Facebook post where he alleged irregularities in distributing maternity allowance."

 "As the maternity allowance is sent by the government to the beneficiary's mobiles through DutchBangla Bank, there is no scope of any irregularity.  A general diary has been lodged with Bhanga police station regarding the matter, the upazila health officer said. Addressing the press conference, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Azimuddin Rubel said, "If anyone wants to write over any issue on Facebook, he should write with correct information. "

Do not write anything against any official or educational institution", the UNO urged.  Legal action will be taken against the person who has made a fictitious post about the maternity allowance, the UNO added. Upazila Education Officer Munshi Ruhul Aslam, Resident Medical Officers Dr Setu and Dr Asad, Ikamate Din Kamil Model Madrasah Principal Abu Yousuf Mridha and Tarail Madrasah Principal Ibrahim Matubbar, among others, were present on the occasion.
