Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina does not want to change the name of Padma Bridge, Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam said. He came up with the remarks on Thursday at a press conference held at the Secretariat after a regular cabinet meeting on Thursday. "The Padma Bridge will be inaugurated by the end of June, and the bridge's name will remain the same. The prime minister will speak on this issue next week," he said.
While talking about the tolls set for vehicles on Padma Bridge, the cabinet secretary said that the charges are reasonable. "If the public thinks otherwise, the government would reconsider it."
