UP chairmen absent in Local Government Day programin Dhamrai -The Asian Age
Though Dhamrai upazila celebrated the National Local Government Day in a befitting matter, but most of union parishad chairmen were absent in the program.
Among the 16 union chairmen in Dhamrai upazila, only four union chairmen were present at the event. The remaining 12 UP chairmen were absent.

He said, Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives is one of the most important body of the government. Union chairmen are the lifeblood of this department. But they are absent from the celebration of local government day." Home Minsitry Standing Committee Chairman Benajir Ahmed graced the function was the chief guest while Assitant Commissioner (Land) Aminul Islam Bulbul conducted the program.
