Rony, story of a lonely child -The Asian Age

It's a story about a child called 'Rony', age 11, which will be released in March 2017. Kolkata born filmmaker Arijit Mukherjee's new venture Rony, a 20-minute story, is written by Tanmoy Dey and scripted by Maushumi Mukherjee, while cinematographed and edited by Aniket. In the globalized world of today, all are running for survival, and while the parents are running their kids get detached from his busy father and mother. But a child needs proper care, suitable mentoring, appropriate grooming and true love to transform into a proactive human being.

Every child's childhood is like a mirror; whatever he sees today they will reflect in there coming days when they are grown up. The movie Rony gives the massage to each family and their parents to take proper care of their children. "You can say it's a Rony's bioscope. Bioscope means when we watch a movie, the audience get entertained," remarked Mukherjee.

An actor's creativity begins from where a writer's creativity stops. So it true with young Mukherjee, the 13 year old young boy gave his first theatrical performance on stage in his school drama. While acting in stage he started taking keen interest in the technical aspects of drama and developed a strong desire for directional venture. He thought direction would be his ideal cup of tea and at the age of seventeen he took his first venture in world of direction as chief assistant director. Along with cultural activities Mukherjee continued with his studies and did a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

He also took an assignment with a Bangalore based company and continued there for four years. Desire for a debut in silver screen brought him back to Kolkata. People saw Mukherjee as a fully fledged independent director in his first 26 episodes serial "Khali Jahajer Rahasya" based on "Kaka Babu Series" of Sunil Gangopadhyay. After his return to Kolkata he never had to look back again. Today Mukherjee is a celebrated director of Tollygunge with 16 telefilms and eight mega serials in most watched popular Bangla TV channels at home and abroad.
