Militants change techniques, more suicide attacks feared -The Asian Age

Members of militant outfits Neo JMB and Ansar-ullah Bangla Team are still active inside the country. These militant gangs are changing their techniques to avoid the surveillance of law and order forces. Several intelligence departments have conveyed this information to concerned authorities. Recently militant organizations are selecting women for their radical activities. They are also instigating women with evil motivation to get killed through suicide attacks. Girls from different colleges and universities are being recruited by militants, according to officials of law enforcement agencies.

Some women who have been recently arrested have confessed that they support the militant attack on Holey Artisan Café. They believe they are doing jihad. These women are also prepared to give away their lives for radical ideology, police officers have informed. Intelligence departments have come to know the names and particulars of several female students from different colleges and universities who are being persuaded by fanatic organizations to join militancy.

DIG of Chittagong Range Shafiqul Islam has said police department has been trying its best to uproot militancy. Militants are brainwashing young boys and girls with misinterpretation of religious ideas, he added. He further commented that besides law and order forces, Islamic theologians and people from all walks of society should come up to resist militancy. Raising awareness among masses and conducting social movement are also very essential to wipe out militants, he asserted.
