Next election will be held under EC: Quader -The Asian Age

General Secretary of Awami League (AL) Obaidul Quader yesterday said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina led government would play the role of supportive government in the next general election to be held in 2019.

"The next election would be held under Election Commission (EC) and Hasina led government will play the role of supportive government," he said while exchanging Eid greetings with his colleagues at secretariat in Dhaka.

Quader also Road Transport and Bridges Minister said, "The election will be held like other countries in the world...the ruling government will work under the directions of the EC. Public Administration and Home Ministry will also follow the instructions of Election Commision."
