MK Alamgir visits The Asian Age -The Asian Age

The chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on public accounts and former home minister Muhiuddin Khan Alamgir has said that to develop the country’s economic sector it is necessary to utilize and promote an open market economy. 
Muhiuddin Khan Alamgir stated this while exchanging views with senior journalists of The Asian Age yesterday. The view exchange meeting was held at the office of the daily. 

The reputed economist said through an open market economy it is possible to develop the country’s economy further. Bangladesh has become strong in the economic sector through the firm determination of the present government. Even so, modernization is needed along the nation’s economic parameters.  

The senior leader of the Awami League noted that agricultural economy should be boosted through scientific means. He opined that the country’s banking sector should be expanded by a more inclusive system.

He said the government has turned the proverb of Bengalee life being lived on a simple meal of rice and fish into reality. He laid stress on the frozen fish and fish processing system in order for the country to earn more foreign currency.

Muhiuddin Khan Alamgir claimed that he had digitalized passport and e-visa processing, eased visa system with neighboring countries and resolved border problems during his tenure as home minister.
