'Hope to do better in Bollywood' -The Asian Age


Popular actress in small and big screen, Zakia Bari Momo is going to act in Bollywood film. Directed by Faisal Saif, with this film, Momo is stepping toward Bollywood. The actress expresses hope that she will do better in Bollywood.  She signed the contract of that untitled film on September 9 in Mumbai, India.

The shooting will begin in this year's December. Regarding the matter, Momo said to the Anandabazar that, "My journey in Bollywood is beginning with Faisal Saif's film. I hope the way I won Bangladeshi people's heart with Dhallywood films; I will be able to do better with Bollywood movie.

The name and the casting of the film haven't been finalized yet but the director will announce the title and the casting before shooting." The story of the film is based on the story of late producer Rituparno Ghosh. About the film Faisal Saif said, "The film is mainly a women centric film and I have casted Zakia Bari Momo for the lead role.

This will be a dark thriller type movie where the whole story will surround around Momo, so basically she will be the only lead character in this film." Momo stepped into the media world through winning Lux Channel i beauty pageant in 2006. As a result, she was cast in a leading role in the film Daruchini Dip, for which she won a national award. She has subsequently acted in many Bangladeshi dramas.
