Indian Beech -The Asian Age

A plant of small size with spredout branches. It has green leaves and tiny flowers of light pink colour. It attains a height of about 10 meters. The plant grows from seeds. The flowers blossom in April and May. They are seen in many places of Bangladesh.

However, they are more abundantly seen in Khulna, Sylhet and Chittagong. Karanja has some medicinal properties. The root of this tree is used in the treatment of various diseases. Tree survives under water for several months.
