The 4th convocation of Islamic University (IU) will be held at the central cricket playground on the campus in Kushtia on Sunday.
The university authorities have completed all preparations to hold the convocation successfully, IU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari told UNB.
President Abdul Hamid, also the Chancellor of the university, will chair the convocation while the chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC) Abdul Mannan will be present as the special guest.
Physicist and fiction writer Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, also a professor of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology's Computer Science and Engineering department, will deliver convocation speech.
Meanwhile, the entire university has taken a festive look on this occassion.
Many students were seen taking photographs wearing dark black gowns, ties and hats across the campus as the distribution of convocation costumes started on Friday.
