JASAS leader missing in Sylhet

A leader of BNP's cultural wing Jatiyatabadi Samajik Sangskritik Sangstha (JASAS) of Jakiganj upazila remained missing for three days.

The missing leader is Sultan Ahmed, joint general secretary of Jakiganj JASAS.

Victim’s brother Nazim Uddin said that they got a SMS - ‘save me brother’ - from Sultan’s mobile phone on Sunday night.

Later, they found Sultan’s mobile phone switched off around 11:30pm.

On Monday morning, Sultan also made a call saying, “I don’t know where I am now. Several miscreants wearing masks picked me up to a vehicle.” 

Later, the phone set was again found switched off, said Nazim Uddin.

A general diary (GD) was filed in connection with the missing incident, Syed Imrose Tarek, sub-inspector of Jakiganj Police Station.
