UIU gets new VC

Prof Dr Chowdhury Mofizur Rahman has been appointed as the VC of United International University (UIU) for a 4-year term. Prof Rahman obtained his PhD and MSc in Computer Science from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1996 and Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) in 1992 respectively. He obtained his BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from BUET in 1989.

He was a former Professor of BUET and served BUET as a faculty in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) for 15 years. He also served as the Head of the Department of CSE, BUET in 2000-2001. He was the Pro-Vice Chancellor of United International University for consecutive three terms.
