KM Ali Azam has been appointed as the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration on Sunday afternoon.
Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Muhammad Abdul Latif issued a transfer order to him as Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration. Azam was born in 1963 in the village of Udaipur in Mollahatupazila of Bagerhat district to an aristocratic Muslim family. His father, the late KM Mahabubur Rahman, was a prominent social worker. He joined the government service as an officer in the BCS administration cadre in 1986 batch.
ShahinulHaque Shana, Talukder Abdul Baki, General Secretary of Bagerhat Press Club, Mizanur Rahman Akon, Staff Reporter of BhorerKagoj, among others congratulated him.
Sheikh Yusuf Harun, the current senior secretary of public administration, will retire on May 14. Azam will join office on May 14.
