Army donates Covid protective materials to Cumilla health division

Bangladesh Army has donated Covid-19 protective materials including oxygen concentrator machine, mask and hand gloves to Cumilla health division. Major General Md Jahangir Harun, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 33 Infantry Division of Bangladesh Army and Area Commander of Cumilla Cantonment, handed over the materials to Civil Surgeon Dr Mir Mobarak Hossain at a view exchange meeting held at the conference room of DC office on Monday.

Addressing the program as chief guest, Major General Md Jahangir Harun said, "If we follow the Covid-19 protocols and maintain social distancing, we can resume our activities as usual. Many countries across the world have seen downward but Bangladesh has gained positive economic growth under visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina."We all need to make efforts to take country ahead. If wework together unitedly, we can alleviate the darkness, he added. 

Chaired by Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, the meeting was attended by 44 Infantry Brigade Commander Brigadier General Md Aminul Akbar Khan, ADMS Commander Colonel Imrul Kayes Chowdhury, Area Headquarter Colonel (Admin) Colonel Mohammad Nowroz Nikoshiar, Cumilla Cantonment 31 Bir Commanding Officer Lt Colonel Md Sabbir Hossain, Cumilla-10 BGB Commanding Officer Lt Colonel Golam Fazle Rabbi, Cumilla Superintendent of Police Faruk Ahmed, RAB-11 CPC-2 Cumilla Camp Captain Major Mohammad Sakib Hossain, District Ansar Commandant Sanjay Chowdhury and other officers from district administration were present on the occasion.
